Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh)— Marking 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service career, the Haryana government is launching a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17. The statewide welfare drive begins with the ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ initiative, which will see citizens, key project sites, and beneficiary families lighting ceremonial lamps across the state to symbolize gratitude and community service.
Chairing a high-level review meeting in Chandigarh on Wednesday, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini directed administrative secretaries, district nodal officers, and deputy commissioners to ensure smooth execution and strong public participation. Saini instructed authorities to organize service camps across blocks, municipal corporations, councils, and major villages. These local camps will offer on-the-spot resolution of welfare scheme grievances and enroll new beneficiaries to eliminate unnecessary visits to government offices.
To mark Vishwakarma Day, Chief Minister Saini will visit Mahendragarh to officially launch the second phase of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana alongside dedicated welfare programs for industrial and construction workers. The updated phase of the scheme expands financial assistance to a broader demographic of women from low-income households. Saini emphasized that transparent delivery systems must be in place so that eligible citizens can access these social benefits without administrative delays.
Educational institutions across Haryana have also been directed to involve youth through creative competitions, painting, rangoli, and nation-building initiatives during the campaign. The Chief Minister asked district administrations to document grassroots success stories, innovations, and best practices to share across digital platforms and inspire peer districts throughout the month.
