New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Key leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance, including Telugu Desam Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Shiv Sena president Eknath Shinde, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, are set to participate in high-profile events organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party across three major centres on Thursday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday. The nationwide celebrations will also inaugurate a month-long outreach campaign commemorating the Prime Minister’s quarter-century in public office, tracing his journey from taking oath as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, to completing 25 unbroken years at the helm of government.
In Varanasi, the Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency, Naidu and Union Minister Paswan will join Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to offer prayers at the historic Kashi Vishwanath Temple for Modi’s health and longevity. The proceedings will commence with 51 motorcyclists transporting holy Ganga Jal to the shrine, followed by the inauguration of a specialized exhibition documenting Modi’s 25 years of public leadership. A major public gathering will subsequently be held, attended by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, State BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary, and national programme convenor V.D. Sharma.
Simultaneously, in the Prime Minister’s birthplace of Vadnagar in Gujarat, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lead events by flagging off a twin-city bike rally and participating in a citywide cleanliness drive. Shah is scheduled to offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple alongside Eknath Shinde and Apna Dal (Soneylal) leader Anupriya Patel, while party workers across the town prepare to light lamps in honour of the milestone. A third focal celebration in Ujjain will be overseen by senior party leadership, accompanied by a nationwide blood donation drive launched from the national capital. Born on September 17, 1950, Modi holds the distinction of being India’s first Prime Minister born after Independence.
