Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting in Gurugram on Friday, resolving 14 out of 17 complaints on the spot while directing officials to submit detailed status reports for the remaining three issues at the next session. Emphasizing the state government’s commitment to upgrading civic infrastructure and resolving civic problems permanently, Saini noted that ongoing urban improvements are yielding visible progress across Gurugram despite seasonal pressures such as heavy rainfall and waterlogging.
Addressing a complaint by the Welfare Association of Pioneer Industrial Park on Bilaspur-Tauru Road regarding disrupted power supply due to the builder’s failure to provide land for a 33 kV substation, the Chief Minister directed power department officials to immediately secure the required plot. Saini issued explicit orders to register a First Information Report (FIR) and pursue strict legal action against the developer if they fail to cooperate, emphasizing that adequate and uninterrupted electricity infrastructure for industries remains a top administrative priority.
The Chief Minister also took strict cognisance of traffic congestion and unauthorized developments in key commercial and residential hubs. Responding to issues in Sadar Bazar, he ordered municipal authorities to designate specific e-rickshaw stands, demarcate passenger boarding zones, and carry out sustained anti-encroachment drives to ensure smooth transit for emergency vehicles and commuters. Furthermore, following complaints from Krishna Colony residents in Jhund Sarai Veeran regarding the illegal carving out of plots and encroachment on access pathways, Saini instructed police and civic authorities to register FIRs against illegal colonizers, reiterating that deceptive real estate practices will not be tolerated.
