Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Shruti Choudhry held a meeting today with the office bearers and representatives of the Haryana Government PWD Mechanical Workers Union (Registration No. 41), Head Office Charkhi Dadri, to address employee demands and service-related grievances. The discussion focused extensively on long-standing pending demands, promotions, service matters, and various other administrative challenges faced by the department workforce.
Following a thorough evaluation of all agenda items, Irrigation Minister Shruti Choudhry instructed departmental officials to ensure a time-bound and priority-based resolution of all issues raised by the union. She stated that there should be no unnecessary delays in addressing the legitimate and justified demands of the workforce.
The Minister specifically directed the immediate clearance of all pending promotion cases, ordering that necessary instructions be issued without delay. She emphasized that eligible employees must receive their promotional benefits in a timely manner, which would ultimately foster greater efficiency and transparency within the operational framework of the department.
It was also decided during the meeting that matters requiring policy decisions would be forwarded immediately to the Human Resources Department and the Finance Department for necessary action to guarantee a speedy conclusion. Additional Chief Secretary of the Irrigation Department Anurag Agarwal, along with all Engineers-in-Chief and senior administrative officials, attended the meeting.
