Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, accompanied by his wife Suman Saini, paid obeisance at the Mata Mansa Devi Temple on the opening day of Ashwin Navratri. Performing traditional puja rituals, the Chief Minister prayed for the peace, happiness, and prosperity of Haryana’s citizens, later taking part in ceremonial havan offerings at the temple complex’s yajnashala. During the visit, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Administrator of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Satpal Sharma, presented the Chief Minister with a sacred portrait of the deity.

Speaking with journalists, the Chief Minister extended Navratri greetings across the state, describing his pilgrimage on the first day of the festival as a divine blessing. He prayed for the state’s uninterrupted growth and expressed confidence that Haryana will continue contributing significantly toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a developed nation by 2047.
Following prayers, Chief Minister Saini visited a voluntary blood donation camp organized jointly by the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, the District Red Cross Society, and the Shri Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust. Pinning commemorative badges on donors, the Chief Minister commended their civic spirit, emphasizing that blood donation is the highest form of service because even a single unit can save a life. Marking a major security and administrative milestone, the Chief Minister inaugurated Haryana’s first-ever Tourist Police Post within the temple complex, in the presence of Director General of Police Ajay Singhal and Panchkula Police Commissioner Pankaj Nain. To make the personnel instantly identifiable, a squad of 20 specially trained police officers has been deployed wearing distinct tourist police uniforms. These personnel will provide round-the-clock guidance, security assistance, and logistical support to arriving pilgrims.
To bolster surveillance across the pilgrimage area, the new facility houses an integrated control room monitoring live feeds from over 100 CCTV cameras installed across the complex. The deployed personnel have completed dedicated behavioral and communication training to effectively assist visitors from diverse linguistic and regional backgrounds with courtesy and prompt resolution of issues. Saini lauded the police department’s initiative, noting that the specialized post will ensure a secure, seamless, and comfortable pilgrimage experience for thousands of visitors.
The inaugural event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board Vivek Arya, Deputy Commissioner of Police Aditi Singh, Mayor Sham Lal Bansal, Chairperson of the Haryana State Commission for Scheduled Castes Banto Kataria, former Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, BJP District President Ajay Mittal, Shrine Board Secretary Sharda Prajapati, and Media Coordinator Praveen Atrey.
