WAPCOS Updating Haryana’s Waterlogging and Salinity Master Plan, Final Report Due by June 2026

Chandigarh, December 22: Haryana’s Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Shruti Choudhry informed the Assembly during the winter session that WAPCOS, a public sector undertaking of the Government of India, has been assigned the task of updating the Master Plan-1998 related to the management of waterlogging and soil salinity problems in the state. She said that WAPCOS has already submitted a draft report, which is currently undergoing ground-truthing to verify data and on-ground conditions.
