Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh)— Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the state government will build new infrastructure for 150 government schools designed in accordance with international standards to elevate public education across the region. Chairing a high-level review meeting of the School Education Department at his official residence, ‘Sant Kabir Kutir’, alongside Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, the Chief Minister confirmed that design and construction blueprints will incorporate top models and expert guidance from leading states and premier national institutions.
The review session focused heavily on bolstering infrastructure across 719 designated Model Schools in the state, including PM-SHRI Schools, Chief Minister’s Early English and Excellence Schools, and Samskriti Model Schools. Chief Minister Saini issued strict directives to department heads to prioritize the delivery of essential facilities, instructing that new school buildings, extra classrooms, separate lavatories, boundary walls, playgrounds, science laboratories, computer suites, digital hubs, smart classrooms, libraries, modern furniture, and learning tablets be made available in a timely manner. He assured officials that the Finance Department would release adequate funding to prevent delays in construction projects.
In line with modern technological integration, state government schools will be equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven learning tools, vocational education frameworks, and digital libraries. The Chief Minister emphasized that upgrading these 150 new facilities alongside the 719 Model Schools will establish benchmark institutions that inspire improvements throughout Haryana’s entire public education network.
Addressing administrative priorities during the session, Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda instructed department officials to identify and felicitate high-performing teachers to cultivate a better academic environment. He further mandated rigorous maintenance of sanitation, clean drinking water supplies, and general hygiene across all state-run schools. Senior administrative figures present at the meeting included Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary of School Education Vijay Singh Dahiya, Deputy Principal Secretary Yashpal Yadav, Director General of Secondary Education Jitender Dahiya, Director Manita Malik, and Director of the Education Project Council Swapnil Ravindra Patil.
