CM Window Emerges as Core Grievance Redressal Platform in Haryana with High Resolution Rate

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — The digital grievance platform ‘CM Window’ has emerged as a major administrative tool for transparent and accountable governance in Haryana, facilitating the successful resolution of over 1.4 million public complaints. Operating under direct oversight from Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the system enforces a strict compliance window, requiring departments to initiate formal investigations within one week of receiving a logged complaint.

Data released by the administration indicates that out of 1,571,284 complaints registered since the platform’s inception, 14,09,483 cases have been fully resolved, with the remaining files undergoing time-bound processing. Reviewing operational efficiency at Haryana Niwas on Monday, Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and monitoring head Ajay Kumar conducted random audits on active cases. The review led to the issuance of show-cause notices and departmental warnings to officials found responsible for procedural delays or inadequate verification across regional districts.

Originally launched on Good Governance Day in December 2014 at the district level, the digital platform has expanded down to the sub-divisional tier to broaden public access. The automated network updates applicants on the progress of their files via SMS tracking, removing traditional administrative hurdles. Senior officials present at the nodal review meeting included Chief Minister’s OSDs Vivek Kalia and K.S. Sandhu, who emphasized the state’s directive to maintain a quality-centric, factual approach to public dispute resolution over basic bureaucratic reporting.
