National Times Bureau :- Veteran Bengali actor and politician Joy Banerjee passed away on Monday, August 25, at the age of 62, following a prolonged battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and diabetes. Banerjee was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata on August 15 after his health deteriorated. Although discharged briefly the next day, his condition worsened, and he was placed on a ventilator on August 17.
