New Delhi| The Indian Medical Association (IMA) expressed its objection on Sunday to the National Medical Commission's (NMC) logo, which features the Hindu deity Dhanwantari, and urged the commission to adopt a logo that is neutral in terms of religion. Dhanwantari is considered the physician of the gods in Hindu mythology. The Kerala chapter of the IMA criticized the recent change in the NMC logo, deeming it unacceptable, and also raised concerns about the replacement of `India` with `Bharat` in the logo.
