Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): Alberta is preparing to promote its regulated iGaming market internationally as Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction Minister Dale Nally heads to Las Vegas for the Global Gaming Expo (G2E).
Nally is scheduled to attend the industry event from September 27 to October 1, where he will meet with gaming companies, regulators and industry specialists to discuss Alberta’s developing online gaming sector.
The visit will also give the province an opportunity to present its approach to regulated iGaming and explore ways to strengthen safeguards for players.
Focus on player protection
During the expo, Nally is expected to take part in a panel examining the launch of Alberta’s iGaming market. Discussions will also cover emerging developments within the industry and measures aimed at promoting responsible participation.
The minister said the event will allow Alberta to learn from international gaming regulators and industry leaders while continuing to develop its regulatory framework.
Meetings with business representatives and sector experts are expected to provide Alberta officials with insight into emerging trends and challenges facing the rapidly changing iGaming industry.
Building industry partnerships
The provincial government says the Las Vegas visit is part of its broader effort to build relationships with national and international partners and identify opportunities that could benefit Alberta businesses and residents.
Officials will also use the visit to discuss social responsibility initiatives and player-protection measures as Alberta continues developing its regulated iGaming sector.
