Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh)— In a bid to ensure the effective and seamless implementation of the ongoing “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,” the Haryana Government’s Department of Higher Education has appointed nodal officers at both the state and district levels. The announcement was made on Thursday by Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda.
To lead the campaign’s overall coordination and operational success across Haryana, the Directorate of Higher Education designated Dr. Dinesh Kumar, the state NCC and NSS officer, as the State Nodal Officer. In this role, Dr. Kumar will supervise activities statewide and maintain continuous coordination with senior administrative officials.
To strengthen ground-level execution, district higher education officers alongside senior department officials have been appointed as District Nodal Officers within their respective jurisdictions across all districts of the province.
Minister Dhanda highlighted that the primary objective of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to foster dedication, moral values, and a strong spirit of community service among youth and students. Through the Department of Higher Education, college and university students will be actively integrated into various social welfare drives, encouraging meaningful participation in public interest initiatives.
The minister instructed all newly appointed officers to carry out their duties promptly and maintain full transparency and efficiency across all scheduled initiatives. The state government aims to extend the message of community service to the most marginalized sections of society while engaging young citizens as active partners in nation-building.
