Three Suspects Held at Kota Railway Station in Tiger Shroff Firing Case; CCTV Footage Aids Manhunt

Kota/Mumbai: (Gurpreet Singh/Rajeev Sharma) In a major breakthrough in the firing case involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (ATF) and Rajasthan Police have arrested three suspects at Kota railway station while they were travelling out of Maharashtra, according to information provided by the Rajasthan task force.

The accused, aged 17, 18 and 22, were reportedly intercepted after boarding a train at Vasai in Maharashtra. Investigators are examining the trail that led police to the suspects, including CCTV footage and their reported movements following the incident.

The arrests took place on Monday, as police teams worked to trace those allegedly involved in the firing outside Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area.

Who are the three arrested suspects?

The suspects have been identified in the information released by authorities as:

  • P.S., 17: A resident of the Sonipat district in Haryana.
  • Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, 22: Originally from Begusarai district in Bihar, he was reportedly living in Andheri West, Mumbai, and working as a Rapido rider.
  • Rehan, 18: A resident of Sonipat district in Haryana.

The minor suspect’s full name has not been published here. Police are expected to investigate the individual roles of all three accused as the case proceeds.

Shroff escapes injury in Juhu firing

The case relates to a shooting reported in Mumbai’s Juhu neighbourhood on Sunday evening. According to the information provided, gunshots were fired at a car associated with Tiger Shroff. The actor escaped without injury, while his driver and another person reportedly sustained injuries.

Mumbai Police initially registered a case against three unidentified individuals. The investigation was subsequently handed over to the Crime Branch, according to reports attributed to PTI.

A social media post claiming responsibility in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang also circulated after the incident. Police had not confirmed the authenticity of that post at the time of the reported developments.

Fleeing route under investigation

Investigators are looking into how the suspects travelled from Mumbai and what led police to intercept them at Kota. The train they were reportedly using was the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express, which passes through several states before reaching Rajasthan.

The arrests mark a significant step in identifying those allegedly involved, but investigators will need to establish the evidence against each suspect and determine whether anyone else helped plan or execute the attack.

Fadnavis promises action against those involved

Before the arrests were announced, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said police had developed important leads and would pursue the accused and anyone found to be directing them.

Speaking to reporters in Nagpur on Monday, Fadnavis said the suspects appeared to have connections beyond Maharashtra and that authorities would work with other state police forces and central agencies where necessary.

He described the alleged attackers as cowards and said threats against public figures would be treated seriously. Fadnavis also said he had spoken with Shroff after the incident and assured him that the government was taking the matter seriously and would address his security concerns.

Chief Minister responds to law-and-order criticism

Fadnavis also pushed back against Opposition criticism of Maharashtra’s law-and-order situation. He cited previous controversies, including the 2021 bomb scare outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence and the killing of Mansukh Hiran, while questioning the Opposition’s record on public safety.

The Chief Minister maintained that Mumbai Police remained a professional force trusted by the public and members of the film industry.

With the three suspects now in custody, investigators are expected to focus on the alleged motive, the sequence of events and whether others were involved. The allegations against the arrested individuals remain subject to investigation and legal proceedings.
