All Commitments Made Until 2029 Will Be Fulfilled: Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the double-engine government, working under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stands as a guardian of the dignity and rights of the Dhanak community. Presiding over a meeting with representatives of the Dhanak community from Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh, the Chief Minister stated that protecting the rights of the community, ensuring a better future for their children, and elevating the community to new heights remain the top priorities of his administration.

The Chief Minister announced that Sant Kabir Das Jayanti will be celebrated on a grand scale in Bhiwani on June 29. He added that he will also participate in the upcoming anniversary celebrations scheduled to be held in Abohar and Ludhiana in Punjab. Saini reiterated that the Bharatiya Janata Party government will completely fulfil all promises made up to 2029. Highlighting the pace of governance, he noted that 63 resolutions have already been implemented, while work on an additional 153 resolutions is progressing rapidly.

Saini lauded the historic role of the Dhanak community, emphasizing their self-respect, sacrifices, and immense contributions to nation-building, social reform movements, and the journey toward a developed India. He mentioned that previous political regimes treated marginalized groups merely as vote banks, offering lofty promises during elections but delivering only reassurances when it came to granting actual rights. Conversely, the current administration has taken decisive steps by comprehending the struggles within the Scheduled Caste community. This understanding led to the categorization of Scheduled Caste reservations into Deprived Scheduled Castes (DSC) and Other Scheduled Castes, a promise made in the election manifesto that has now been successfully executed on the ground.

Under this new social justice framework, 10 per cent of the total 20 per cent quota reserved for Scheduled Castes in government services has been specifically allocated to the Deprived Scheduled Castes. Invoking the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Chief Minister described him not just as the architect of the Constitution, but as the builder of the dreams of millions of marginalized citizens who provided equal opportunities and the right to live with dignity. Saini stated that the Prime Minister has successfully institutionalized this philosophy through the vision of inclusive development, ensuring that welfare schemes reach the poorest households.

Detailing the welfare achievements of the state government, Saini shared that 604 youth from the DSC community were recently recruited into the Haryana Police. He contrasted this with past administrations, stating that while previous governments only announced the allotment of 100-square-yard plots, his government delivered actual ownership papers and physical possession to the eligible beneficiaries. Furthermore, the government allotted 100-square-yard plots to an additional 16,500 needy families, linked them with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to construct houses, and handed over the keys. Over the last eleven and a half years, 1.60 lakh houses have been provided to eligible families, alongside the recent distribution of 3,250 flats in Sonipat and Gurugram.

Medical accessibility has also been reinforced so that financial scarcity does not prevent any citizen from receiving healthcare. Under the Ayushman Bharat-Chirayu Haryana scheme, free medical treatment worth 4,131 crore rupees has been provided to more than 29.20 lakh patients. Haryana has also become the first state in the country to offer free dialysis facilities across all district-level hospitals, a benefit already utilized by two lakh patients. Additionally, monthly old-age pensions have been scaled up to 3,200 rupees, while financial assistance of 2,100 rupees per month is being disbursed to women under the Lado-Lakshmi Yojana, with over 1,500 crore rupees distributed so far.
