National Times Bureau :- In a major update for ration card holders, the government has announced that those availing free wheat under the public distribution system will now be required to complete e-KYC.
Officials said the step has been taken to ensure transparency and eliminate duplicate or ineligible beneficiaries. The move is aimed at making sure that the benefits of the free ration scheme reach the rightful families without misuse.
Beneficiaries have been advised to get their e-KYC done at the nearest ration depot, CSC center, or through official online portals within the stipulated time. Those who fail to complete the process may face disruption in receiving their free wheat quota.
The government has urged all eligible ration card holders to complete the e-KYC at the earliest to continue availing the benefits smoothly.
