Universal Roots Foundation Brings 35 Industries Under One Roof at Calgary Career Fair

Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): The Calgary Career Fair, organized by the Universal Roots Foundation, brought together employers, businesses, organizations and job seekers, creating a strong platform for employment, networking and professional opportunities.

The event featured 35 industry and organization booths, including City of Calgary youth programs, Calgary Transit, dental, medical, physiotherapy, home care and nursing care companies, financial services, Noble Education, Costco, security and IT companies, along with many other employers and organizations. Participating employers connected directly with job seekers and collected resumes from qualified candidates for potential employment opportunities.

Adding a strong community and hospitality dimension to the career fair, Pizza 73, Gwalia, Honest Restaurant and Royal Indian Supermarket & Kitchen stepped forward as hospitality partners, providing food and refreshments for participants, volunteers and organizers. Their contribution went beyond hospitality, with the businesses also engaging with job seekers and offering employment opportunities within the food and hospitality sector, reinforcing the event’s focus on connecting people directly with potential employers.

Alberta Minister of Immigration and Multiculturalism Muhammad Yaseen congratulated the Universal Roots Foundation on the successful event, saying such initiatives help connect job seekers with employers and contribute to addressing unemployment in Alberta.

Sonia Duggal and Mandeep Duggal of Max Pro Tax and Pro Tax Block, the title sponsors, shared their views and highlighted the importance of supporting employment and community initiatives.

Meenakshi Lamba also shared information about her organization and appreciated the Universal Roots Foundation for bringing employers and job seekers together.

Universal Roots Foundation representatives Rajeev, Savita and Gagan thanked all sponsors, partners, participating organizations and volunteers for their valuable support in making the event a major success. They said the Foundation plans to organize more initiatives focused on public welfare, employment and community development.
