Maninder Buttar Hits Back at Uttarakhand Minister Over Daler Mehndi Row, Demands Full Show Video

Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): Punjabi singer Maninder Buttar has strongly objected to remarks made by Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, challenging him to release the complete recording of his past performance after the minister allegedly claimed that the singer had left an event after being beaten up.

The controversy erupted after Uniyal’s public confrontation with veteran Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi during the Kunjapuri Fair in Narendra Nagar on October 18. The minister had questioned Mehndi’s singing on stage, alleging that he was lip-syncing rather than performing live. His remarks subsequently triggered widespread criticism from members of the entertainment industry.

Buttar addressed the issue during an Instagram Live session lasting nearly 10 minutes, saying he was hurt by the minister’s comments and the reference to his family. He described the claim about his alleged mistreatment as false and asked the minister to make the full footage of his performance public.

“If something actually happened during my show, then release the video,” Buttar said, according to the account of his live session.

Buttar recalls performing at the same venue

The singer said he had performed at the same venue in 2019. Recalling the occasion, he claimed that Uniyal had personally come onto the stage and placed a traditional Pahadi cap on his head. Buttar said he continued performing for around an hour and a half while wear
