Tress Lounge Terminates Canadian Franchise Deal, Calgary Franchisee Alleges $400,000 Dispute

CALGARY ( Rajeev Sharma): Tress Lounge has terminated its Master Franchise Agreement with CORPWELL MAGNUM CAPITAL INC., effective March 14, 2026, and says the company and individuals associated with it are no longer authorized to represent Tress Lounge, sell its franchises or enter into agreements on its behalf in Canada.

The notice names CORPWELL MAGNUM CAPITAL INC., 17835558 Canada Inc. (operating as Tress Lounge Canada), Kamalpreet Khaira and Chris Gill, also known as “Kricpy Khera,” along with their respective representatives and affiliates.

The development has also prompted concerns from Dheeraj Chadha, a Calgary-based Tress Lounge franchisee involved in opening a location. Chadha alleges that he provided approximately $400,000 to CORPWELL MAGNUM CAPITAL INC., based on representations and promises concerning the franchise arrangement. He alleges those commitments were not fulfilled and that the funds have not been returned.

Chadha further says he was later offered an opportunity involving another franchise brand, but declined, stating that his concerns regarding the previous arrangement remained unresolved.

The allegations have not been independently verified by National Times Media and do not constitute a finding of fraud or wrongdoing. The parties named in the allegations have not been found liable by a court based on the information available to the publication and should be given an opportunity to respond.

Tress Lounge is urging prospective franchisees, investors and business partners to verify directly with the company before signing agreements or making payments involving the Tress Lounge brand in Canada. The company says it is pursuing appropriate legal remedies concerning the matter.
