Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated on Sunday that modern science, computer, and robotics laboratories established according to contemporary needs will open new avenues of experimentation, research, and innovation for students. He added that technology-enabled smart classrooms will make the learning process more engaging and interactive for the younger generation.
The Chief Minister was addressing an inauguration ceremony for new educational facilities at O.P. Jindal Modern School in Hisar. During his visit to the school campus, he inaugurated the ‘Utkarsh’ administrative block, the ‘Uday’ Special Educational Needs (SEN) wing, the ‘Udgam’ swimming pool, and the ‘Utsav’ auditorium. The event was organized as part of a series of programs commemorating the 96th birth anniversary of former minister, industrialist, and philanthropist late O.P. Jindal.
Highlighting the state’s educational initiatives, Saini stated that the government is working in alignment with the National Education Policy to build a character-building, employment-oriented, and skill-based learning ecosystem. He mentioned the launch of the Haryana AI Mission, under which dedicated AI hubs are being set up in Gurugram and Panchkula to boost world-class education and innovation.
The Chief Minister outlined several administrative measures implemented across the state, including the distribution of five lakh tablets to students in classes 10 through 12, the installation of digital boards in nearly 40,000 classrooms, and the setup of 1,201 ICT labs. He also noted that the number of Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools in Haryana has increased to 218, alongside 1,420 primary Model Sanskriti schools and 250 PM SHRI schools across the state. Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Jindal Group Chairperson and MLA Savitri Jindal, along with local legislators and school officials, were also present at the event.
