Gurpreet Singh :- In a shocking incident reported from Kharar, a 17-year-old girl has been accused of conspiring with her alleged partner to murder her father, police said. The case, which has sent shockwaves through the local community, is being investigated as a premeditated crime stemming from a family dispute.
According to the victim’s wife, the minor had developed a relationship with a युवक identified as Vikas Shah during her studies and was insisting on marrying him. However, the family opposed the proposal due to her age. The mother alleged that tensions at home had escalated over time, with frequent arguments between the girl and her parents. She further claimed that the girl had issued threats when her demands were not met.
The woman stated that she had gone to stay at her brother’s residence on April 26. Upon returning on May 2, she found her husband missing. Despite efforts to trace him, no immediate clues emerged. Later, she alleged that her daughter, along with her associate, had abducted and killed her husband, identified as Gursewak Singh, and disposed of the body.
Confirming the development, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ishan Singla said that a police team, including officials from the City Kharar police station led by SHO Amrinder Singh Sidhu, conducted a detailed investigation and apprehended both suspects.
A case has been registered, and the accused were produced before a court. The minor has been sent to a juvenile home, while Vikas Shah has been remanded to three days of police custody. Officials said further interrogation is underway to ascertain details regarding the disposal of the body and to identify if any other individuals were involved in the crime.
