Haryana to Construct 26 New Government Ayurvedic Dispensaries Across Six Districts for 15.70 Crore Rupees

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana government will construct 26 new government Ayurvedic dispensaries across six districts of the state at an estimated cost of approximately 15.70 crore rupees. This initiative aims to strengthen the AYUSH healthcare infrastructure and improve public access to traditional healthcare services in rural areas.

Dr. Sumita Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare and AYUSH Departments, shared today that these dispensaries will be distributed across the state, with 10 to be built in Yamunanagar, 6 in Mahendragarh, 5 in Rewari, 3 in Kurukshetra, 1 in Karnal, and 1 in Gurugram. The total project cost under the non-recurring civic works category is estimated at 1,570.22 lakh rupees.

The cost estimates for the construction of these 26 dispensaries have been received from Haryana’s Development and Panchayats Department. In Yamunanagar district, 10 dispensaries will be built in the villages of Bhangera, Tajewala, Khurdban, Talkaur, Mahiyuddinpur, Darpur, Dhakwala, Dadupur Head, Damoli, and Leda Khadar, with each facility carrying an estimated cost of 59.17 lakh rupees. In Kurukshetra district, facilities will be established in Ajrana Kalan at a cost of 59.15 lakh rupees, Kalsa at 59.74 lakh rupees, and Mohri at 59.15 lakh rupees, while a single dispensary will be constructed in Fafdana village of Karnal district at a cost of 59.17 lakh rupees.

In Rewari district, four dispensaries will be built in the villages of Rohrai, Jhabua, Jaisinghpur Khera, and Karawara Manakpur at a cost of 59.17 lakh rupees per unit, alongside one facility in Lisan village at an estimated cost of 59.00 lakh rupees. In Mahendragarh district, six dispensaries are planned for Gudha, Bawania, Rasulpur, Buchawas, Surjanwas, and Rambass villages, with each construction project estimated to cost 64.50 lakh rupees. Additionally, one dispensary will be set up in Sahjawaz village of Gurugram district at an estimated cost of 58.63 lakh rupees.

Dr. Mishra stated that these new facilities will expand the reach of Ayurvedic healthcare services, particularly across rural areas, and further fortify Haryana’s AYUSH infrastructure. The project will be executed through the Panchayati Raj Department in close coordination with relevant state agencies. The initiative is expected to improve the availability of preventive and traditional healthcare services while ensuring better access to quality Ayurvedic treatment facilities for residents in the identified districts.
