Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the state party president serves as the face of the organisation and the anchor of workers’ aspirations. Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed Bharatiya Janata Party State President, Dr. Archana Gupta, in Panchkula on Wednesday, the Chief Minister emphasized that this leadership transition brings new energy, a fresh resolve, and a clear direction to Haryana. He highlighted that a successful president does not merely expand the political footprint but connects the hearts of the workers, values the contribution of every grassroots activist, and ensures the party’s ideology reaches the last person in society.
The Chief Minister noted that this marks only the second time in Haryana’s history that a woman has been given the responsibility of leading the state unit, representing a moment of pride for the mothers, sisters, and daughters of the state. He contrasted this inclusive approach with dynasty-based politics, asserting that within the BJP, opportunities are granted strictly on the basis of capability, dedication, hard work, and loyalty to the organisation. Saini remarked that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation has witnessed a structural shift from merely discussing women’s respect to actively placing women at the centre of the policy decision-making process.
Reflecting on national initiatives, Saini credited the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign with shifting societal mindsets toward daughters and noted that the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam has written a new chapter in the political empowerment of women. He stated that Indian women are now leading from frontlines in the military, scientific laboratories, startup ecosystems, and sports arenas. Saini reiterated that the central government’s vision of a developed nation by 2047 directly aligns with the goal of a developed Haryana, and the state government remains deeply committed to public welfare.
Upon assuming her new role, Dr. Archana Gupta expressed her gratitude to the central and state leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Manohar Lal, and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. She stated that being a party worker is a matter of immense pride and assured that she would work diligently from the grassroots booth level upward to meet the expectations of the workers. The ceremony was attended by several senior leaders who extended their congratulations, including Haryana regional in-charge Dr. Satish Poonia, Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, National Vice President Saudan Singh, National Secretary Om Prakash Dhankar, outgoing state chief Mohan Lal Badoli, Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij, and Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana.
