Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana Government has officially released the complete ceremonial schedule and chief guest roster for the state’s 80th Independence Day celebrations on August 15. Haryana Governor Professor Asim Kumar Ghosh will hoist the National Flag at the central ceremonial function in Yamunanagar, while Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will lead the official state-level proceedings in the newly established district of Hansi. The traditional ‘At Home’ reception will be hosted at the Haryana Lok Bhavan in Chandigarh on Thursday evening.
In an official communication issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, administrative heads across all district, sub-divisional, block, and panchayat levels have been instructed to conduct formal flag-hoisting ceremonies shortly after 9:00 AM on August 15. The state administration has designated key cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, and senior dignitaries to preside over district headquarters. Notable assignments include Energy Minister Anil Vij in Ambala, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel in Faridabad, School Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda in Fatehabad, Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao in Jhajjar, and Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar in Panipat.
At the sub-divisional level, local Members of the Legislative Assembly, chairpersons of state public undertakings, and regional board heads will conduct official flag-hoisting duties. The government protocol explicitly clarifies that in the event of any designated chief guest being unable to attend, the respective Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, or Tehsildar will assume flag-hoisting responsibilities to maintain unbroken administrative protocol.
