Calgary ( Rajeev Sharma): Calgary Police have confirmed a significant development in the Ogden homicide investigation with the arrest of a fourth suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting last year in southeast Calgary.
The incident dates back to Wednesday, December 10, 2025, when officers responded at approximately 12:30 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 7000 block of 20 Street S.E. Upon arrival, police discovered a man deceased outside his vehicle. As the investigation advanced, three suspects one youth and two adult males were previously charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Police continued efforts to locate a fourth individual believed to be involved.
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the outstanding suspect was located and arrested in Edmonton through coordinated efforts with the Edmonton Police Service. The individual had been subject to Canada-wide warrants in relation to the homicide. Following the arrest, 22 year old Yahya ABDULLAHI has now been charged with first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
Calgary Police Service acknowledged the support of multiple law enforcement agencies, including Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service, Alberta Sheriffs North, ALERT North, and RCMP detachments in Clearwater, British Columbia, for their assistance in progressing the investigation.
