New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh) — The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi verified on Thursday that BJP parliamentarian Raghav Chadha has officially been enrolled in the voter registry for the Rajinder Nagar assembly constituency after meeting all statutory requirements.
Election authorities explained that Chadha submitted Form-6 on August 26 to transfer his voting precinct. Following the standard seven-day public review window, the Electoral Registration Officer sanctioned the application on September 2. Under standard Election Commission of India protocols, an approved applicant is promptly integrated into the active electronic roster, positioned directly after the concluding entry of the preliminary list while the comprehensive revision process wraps up.
The procedural clarification arrives amidst heightened political friction between Chadha and the Aam Aadmi Party. Chadha previously expressed outrage after discovering his voter profile in Mohali, Punjab, had been tagged as “shifted” in local draft records. The sitting Rajya Sabha representative termed the categorization an intentional attempt at political retribution carried out by the AAP-led state machinery.
Rejecting the opposing party’s claims of procedural impropriety, Chadha maintained that his paperwork complied fully with all constitutional election guidelines. He added that political rivals were improperly treating public statutory records like an internal party ledger, using standard administrative updates to mount partisan attacks against former colleagues.
