Edmonton (Rajeev Sharma):An Edmonton Police Service officer has been charged with multiple offences following an investigation by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) into allegations of sexual assault while on duty. According to ASIRT, the investigation began on September 8, 2023, after the agency was directed to examine a complaint involving an Edmonton police officer. Evidence collected during the inquiry led investigators to believe that a criminal offence may have occurred.
