National Times Bureau: India is enhancing its anti-submarine warfare capabilities through the upgrade of its MH-60R multi-role helicopters. The Biden administration has approved the sale of advanced equipment and supplies to the Indian Navy, valued at $1.17 billion (approximately Rs 10,000 crore), and has notified the US Congress of this decision. The package will enhance India’s fleet of 24 MH-60R helicopters, originally acquired under a $2.6 billion Foreign Military Sales deal.
