A vigil in the British Columbia province of Canada commemorated the life of a Canadian-Sikh woman, Kulwant Kaur, who was tragically stabbed to death in her New Westminster home on October 13 by her husband, Balvir Singh. The vigil, held at Robson Square, also paid tribute to 14 other victims of domestic violence in the country this year. Attendees, holding signs bearing the names of the women victims aged 22 to 57, stood in solemn silence during the ceremony.
