‘Modi Ji May Also Have To Resign’: Arvind Kejriwal Invokes Hitler After Delhi Police Crackdown On CJP Protest

New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the police crackdown on protesters ahead of Saturday’s demonstration at Jantar Mantar, pointing out the Prime Minister for pushing police brutality in the national capital to unprecedented levels. In a video posted on social media, the AAP Chief warned that the crackdown could trigger demands for PM Modi’s resignation alongside that of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, declared that the government had crossed even Hitler’s limits of repression, and asserted that the country’s youth had awakened and would no longer be intimidated by the Prime Minister’s threats.

In a video message, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, “On Saturday, PM Modi crossed all limits of repression, surpassing even Hitler. Videos showing the police’s atrocities are circulating everywhere. Young girls are being harassed and mistreated. Lawyers and journalists have not been spared either. The crackdown must not end up forcing PM Modi to resign alongside Gyanesh Kumar.”

The AAP Chief stated, “On Saturday, the Modi government did not even spare lawyers. PM Modi’s police dragged a senior Supreme Court lawyer along the road, assaulted lawyers, detained them and mistreated them. No government in the country’s history has dared to treat lawyers with such disrespect. Governments that have resorted to such conduct have not survived in power.”

He stated, “PM Modi has imposed an Emergency-like situation in the country. Even media owners are no longer safe. Atul Agrawal, Editor-in-Chief of the Hindi Khabar and Living India group, has been arrested by the Haryana Police because his channel had been reporting on the rapidly spreading drug trade in Haryana over the past few days. This is deeply shameful conduct by the Modi government and a sign of democracy being dismantled.”
