Sunil Jakhar Denies Reports of Returning to Congress, Reaffirms Commitment to BJP

Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): BJP leader Sunil Jakhar has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that he could return to the Congress, describing the speculation as false and without any basis.

In a post on social media, Jakhar said he had come across posts suggesting that he was planning to rejoin the Congress. He categorically rejected the claims and said they were “far removed from truth.”

Jakhar also made it clear that he continues to be associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Reiterating his political position, he said he remains committed to the party and its stated ideology of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, associated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The clarification comes amid renewed social media speculation about Jakhar’s political future. Recent reports and political discussions in Punjab have continued to focus on the BJP’s organisational strategy and its leaders, including Jakhar.

Jakhar had joined the BJP in May 2022 after ending his long association with the Congress.

Through his latest statement, Jakhar sought to put an end to the speculation surrounding an alleged return to his former party, reaffirming that he remains with the BJP.
