Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh)— Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini presented an extensive development roadmap for the Bawani Khera assembly segment on Sunday, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for seven key infrastructure initiatives valued at approximately 78 crore rupees. Addressing a large gathering at the “Vikas Sankalp Jansabha” held in the local grain market, the Chief Minister declared that the double-engine administration is driving progress at triple speed across the state. In response to regional memorandums, Saini pledged that nearly all local demands would be addressed on priority, while granting an additional five crore rupees specifically earmarked for rural civic works across the constituency.
Detailing regional growth milestones, the Chief Minister noted that the current dispensation has directed over 1,446 crore rupees toward development works in Bawani Khera over the past 12 years, compared to 609 crore rupees disbursed under the prior ten-year regime. He highlighted major road and transit upgrades, including the completed 1,322-crore-rupee Bhiwani-Hansi stretch of National Highway 148B, the construction of NH-709A, the four-laning of NH-709E, and the ongoing 413-crore-rupee doubling of the Manheru-Bawani Khera railway track. Saini reiterated the administration’s farmer-first policies, reminding the gathering that Haryana remains the sole state procuring all 24 crops at minimum support price, while distributing 16,160 crore rupees in crop damage compensation to date.
The Chief Minister formally inaugurated newly completed academic and utility structures, including school buildings in Gujrani and Kalinga, an administrative canal rest house complex at Khera village, and renovated municipal waterworks alongside a revamped distribution network in Bawani Khera worth nearly 29 crore rupees. Foundation stones were also laid for a 25-bed Deendayal Upadhyay Ayurvedic Hospital in Prem Nagar, a fresh rural arterial road running from Nathuwas to Bamla via Gujrani, and a Primary Health Centre at Baliyali. Speaking at the venue, Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhry stated that a World Bank-backed 6,000-crore-rupee irrigation overhaul will soon modernise primary canal arteries and ensure reliable water reach down to tail-end farms.
Turning to broader public welfare interventions, Saini cited major strides under the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, subsidized cooking fuel distributions under the Har Ghar-Har Grihini initiative, and expanded backward-class income eligibility thresholds. Highlighting youth employment, he stated that over 200,000 candidates have secured government positions through transparent merit-based hiring, while the Progressive MSME Policy 2026 targets generating half a million private sector opportunities alongside 55,000 crore rupees in fresh investments. Prominent attendees at the rally included Bhiwani MP Dharambir Singh, area legislator Kapoor Singh Valmiki, former cabinet ministers Kiran Choudhry and JP Dalal, alongside regional lawmakers Ghanshyam Saraf and Randhir Panihar.
