Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini celebrated the enduring spiritual and cultural legacy of Goswami Tulsidas on Sunday, describing the revered saint as a visionary reformer whose composition of the Ramcharitmanas guided society toward righteousness, civic duty, selflessness, and mutual harmony. Addressing a commemorative gathering marking Tulsidas Jayanti at his official residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, the Chief Minister welcomed hundreds of community representatives, village sarpanches, panches, and social workers arriving from both Haryana and Punjab.
Acknowledging the charter of community demands, the Chief Minister approved a grant of 31 lakh rupees toward the construction of a Goswami Dharamshala in Chandannagar, Hisar, affirming that remaining local community needs would be addressed on a priority basis. Felicitating elected village heads from both states, Saini highlighted that the gathering exemplified the deep cultural unity and timeless brotherhood shared by the two neighbouring states, noting that administrative boundaries cannot divide enduring spiritual roots and cultural heritage.
Turning to governance, Saini observed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare policies mirror the foundational principles of Ramrajya envisioned by Tulsidas, where public service ensures universal dignity and leaves no citizen marginalized. He highlighted national initiatives, including the Ayushman-Chirayu healthcare plan providing coverage up to 500,000 rupees, extensive social housing rollouts, and the PM Surya Ghar solar electricity scheme, as practical manifestations of a compassionate welfare administration dedicated to uplifting the socio-economically disadvantaged.
Contrasting administrative models, Saini targeted the governing parties in neighbouring territories, asserting that the Haryana administration operates on meritocracy and decisive execution rather than unfulfilled electoral promises. He claimed that over 200,000 youth have secured public employment purely on merit without patronage or illicit payments, while accusing the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab of systemic recruitment irregularities and delayed welfare delivery. He further noted that visiting Punjab industrial delegations have expressed interest in relocating operations to Haryana due to regulatory hurdles, assuring business leaders that future policy alignments would eventually stabilize regional industrial growth across both states.
