Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda has directed administrative officials to prioritize public service, maintain respectful behaviour towards citizens, and resolve grievances with complete transparency and promptness. Chairing the monthly meeting of the District Grievance and Redressal Committee at the Sonipat Mini Secretariat, the Minister emphasized that the primary responsibility of every official is to ensure citizens receive timely justice and relief without unnecessary visits to government offices.
During the session, Minister Dhanda reviewed sixteen public complaints spanning various government departments, resolving eight matters on the spot to provide immediate relief to the complainants. To address complex issues among the remaining eight cases, committees headed by local Members of the Legislative Assembly were constituted for five specific complaints to conduct detailed inquiries and ensure swift resolution. The Minister cautioned that strict action would be initiated against any officials found guilty of negligence in performing their duties.
Reiterating the state government’s commitment to good governance, accountability, and accessible administration, Minister Dhanda urged all departmental officers to build public trust through dedicated service. The meeting was attended by Rai MLA Krishna Gahlawat, Sonipat MLA Nikhil Madaan, Kharkhoda MLA Pawan Kharkhoda, Zila Parishad Chairperson Monika Dahiya, Police Commissioner Mamta Singh, Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh, and other senior district administrative officers.
