Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao announced on Thursday that July 17 will mark a developmental milestone for the province as Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives to dedicate several high-value healthcare and eco-friendly transit projects to the public. The scheduled central completions include the long-awaited inauguration of the Bhiwani Medical College and the Koreawas Medical College in Mahendragarh, alongside the structural flagging off of the country’s first hydrogen-powered passenger train on the Jind-Sonipat rail corridor.
The Health Minister stated that the joint infrastructural efforts of the central and state administrations are directly enhancing grassroots public amenities. Rao highlighted that the operational rollout of the two advanced medical colleges will eliminate the traditional necessity for South Haryana residents to travel long distances to major metropolitan medical hubs for complex operations, successfully reducing household expenses and localized transit burdens. Additionally, the new institutions are designed to expand technical medical education opportunities for regional students within their home province.
Terming the prime ministerial tour an environmental and technological benchmark, the minister emphasized that the introduction of indigenous hydrogen-fuelled transit stands as a proud national achievement. The clean energy project is engineered to significantly lower ambient carbon emissions while charting a sustainable path forward for green public transportation networks. Rao concluded that these strategic initiatives to modernise regional rail corridors, upgrade highway connectivity, and strengthen the provincial medical framework will collectively accelerate the state’s long-term economic and social progress.
