Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao has announced a significant step toward fortifying the province’s medical infrastructure with the administrative approval for a new Urban Health Centre in Palla Sehatpur village, located within Faridabad district. This strategic project, estimated to cost approximately 22.33 crore rupees, represents a substantial investment in the local community’s well-being. By establishing a dedicated facility in this region, the government aims to bridge the gap between rural and urban medical access, ensuring that high-quality treatment is available to residents right at their doorstep without the need for extensive travel.
The Minister emphasized that the commencement of this health institution will play a dual role in streamlining the province’s medical services. Firstly, it will significantly enhance the reach of primary healthcare in rural and semi-urban pockets, providing timely interventions for local patients. Secondly, the facility is expected to act as a vital buffer, effectively reducing the heavy patient load currently experienced by larger referral hospitals in the district. This decentralization of care ensures that critical resources at major medical hubs remain focused on specialized cases, while general health needs are efficiently met by localized centres.
This development is part of a broader, continuous effort by the state government to modernize the existing health framework and add new facilities where they are most needed. Minister Rao reiterated that the provincial administration is dedicated to ensuring that every citizen has access to quality and affordable healthcare services. By prioritizing the strengthening of health infrastructure and implementing innovative medical solutions, the government is working toward a more resilient health system that can adapt to the evolving needs of the public, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more prosperous province.
