Rajeev Sharma :- A chilling murder case surfaced in Gurugram after the body of a 24-year-old delivery worker was recovered from an iron box in a slum cluster, police said on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Aman, a native of Bihar, had been living in Sector 54 while working in the city.
The case came to light after the victim’s elder brother approached the police, stating that he had received information from one of Aman’s acquaintances regarding the alleged murder and the location where the body had been concealed. Acting on the tip-off, police teams reached the spot and recovered the body from the container.
Preliminary examination revealed multiple injuries on the victim’s body, suspected to have been inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon. Officials believe the murder may have occurred several days before the body was discovered.
Police have registered a case against a woman who was reportedly living with Aman and one of her associates. Both are currently absconding and are being treated as prime suspects. Efforts are underway to trace their whereabouts.
Investigators are analysing call detail records and other evidence to piece together the sequence of events leading to the crime. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Officials said all possible angles, including personal enmity, are being explored, adding that further details will emerge as the investigation progresses.
