Gurpreet Singh :- Panic gripped Punjab’s Barnala city after three private schools received bomb threat emails, prompting swift action from the local administration and police on Thursday.
According to officials, the institutions that received the threatening emails include Vyas School, Aryabhatta School, and Tandon International School. Soon after the alerts surfaced, senior police officials, along with heavy security personnel, rushed to the campuses and initiated precautionary measures.
With the cooperation of school authorities, a thorough search operation was launched across all three premises. Bomb disposal squads and security teams began scanning every corner to ensure there was no immediate danger.
As news of the threats spread, a large number of concerned parents gathered outside the schools, anxious about the safety of their children. Police officials stated that the emails could be the work of miscreants; however, no risk is being taken and detailed checks are underway.
All students were safely evacuated from the school buildings, and entry into the premises has been restricted until the search operations are completed. Ambulances have also been stationed outside the schools as a precautionary measure.
Authorities have appealed to parents and the general public to remain calm and cooperate with the administration to avoid any disruption in the ongoing investigation. Security has been tightened across the area, with police maintaining strict vigilance to ensure peace and safety.
