Gurpreet Singh :- The Shiromani Akali Dal has appointed Kanchanpreet Kaur as the new constituency in-charge for Tarn Taran, assigning her a key organisational responsibility in the party’s local structure. The decision is part of the party’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence at the grassroots level and enhance coordination with workers across the constituency.
Party leaders said the appointment reflects the leadership’s trust in Kanchanpreet Kaur’s organisational abilities and her role in mobilising support in the region. As constituency in-charge, she will oversee party activities, interact with local leaders and workers, and work to expand the party’s base in Tarn Taran.
The move is also being viewed as an effort by the Shiromani Akali Dal to bring forward active leadership at the constituency level while preparing the organisation for upcoming political challenges in Punjab.
