Chandigarh, December 21: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will be on a visit to Panchkula on December 24, where he will participate in several important programmes along with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
Commissioner and Secretary of the Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Dr Amit Agrawal, on Saturday reviewed the preparations for the proposed visit of the Union Home Minister and inspected the programme venues in Panchkula. He issued necessary directions to the concerned officials to ensure smooth and successful conduct of all events.
Dr Agrawal said that all programmes would be organised in a grand and well-coordinated manner. He directed the district administration and related departments to work in close coordination and complete all arrangements well in advance. Special instructions were also given to ensure smooth traffic movement and proper parking arrangements during the events.
During his Panchkula visit, Amit Shah will attend the ‘Sahibzadon Ko Naman’ programme organised on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector 5 as the chief guest. Prior to this, he will inaugurate an exhibition organised in the Indradhanush Auditorium parisar to mark Veer Bal Diwas.
The Union Home Minister will also take the salute at the police passing-out parade at Tau Devi Lal Sports Stadium in Sector 3 and address the newly inducted personnel. He will unveil the statue of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Atal Park in MDC Sector 1, Panchkula, and later visit an exhibition on Vajpayee’s life at Panchkamal.
On the same day, Amit Shah will inaugurate a mega blood donation camp and encourage blood donors. He will also attend a mega cooperative conference at the Indradhanush Auditorium as the chief guest.
Deputy Commissioner Panchkula Satpal Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police Srishti Gupta, Additional Director (Administration) of the Information, Public Relations and Language Department Varsha Khangwal, along with officials from various departments, were present during the review.
