New Delhi, November 12, 2025:
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Wednesday that the Union Cabinet has directed an immediate and thorough investigation into the Red Fort car blast, emphasizing that those responsible — including perpetrators, collaborators, and sponsors — must be identified and brought to justice without delay.
“The Cabinet directs that the investigation into the incident be pursued with utmost urgency and professionalism so that the perpetrators, their collaborators, and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without delay,” Vaishnaw stated.
He added that the Cabinet “unequivocally condemns this dastardly and cowardly act that has led to the loss of innocent lives” and reaffirmed India’s “unwavering commitment to a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.” The Cabinet also expressed appreciation for the solidarity and support extended by several governments worldwide following the attack.
Before chairing the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital in Delhi to meet those injured in the blast. Modi, who had just returned from a two-day visit to Bhutan, drove straight to the hospital upon landing in the capital.
During his visit, the Prime Minister interacted with the injured, enquired about their condition, and wished them a speedy recovery. Senior doctors and officials briefed him on the victims’ health status and ongoing treatment.
The Red Fort car blast has sent shockwaves across the nation, prompting heightened security measures and a coordinated investigation involving multiple agencies.
