Jalandhar Police Bust Major Narcotics-Arms Smuggling Network, Five Arrested

Jalandhar, August 13, 2025: In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking and illegal arms operations, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has dismantled a multi-layered narcotics–arms smuggling network.

According to DGP Punjab Police, five individuals were apprehended, and a total of 1.5 kg of heroin along with seven weapons were recovered from their possession. The operation is being hailed as a major blow to smuggling activities in the region.

Police officials stated that the arrests have prevented further distribution of narcotics and curbed the circulation of illegal arms in Punjab. The success of the operation underscores the state police’s commitment to tackling organized crime and ensuring public safety.

The Punjab Police reiterated its resolve to continue aggressive action against drug and arms traffickers to keep the state safe.
