Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 to Kick Off in Visakhapatnam on August 29

National Times Bureau, July 31, 2025: The 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is all set to begin on August 29, bringing back the thrill of kabaddi to four major Indian cities: Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Chennai, and New Delhi.

The season will open at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Visakhapatnam, with Telugu Titans taking on Tamil Thalaivas and Bengaluru Bulls facing Puneri Paltan in the first two matches. This marks a special return for Vizag, which last hosted PKL matches in Season 6 back in 2018. The city had also been a part of the league’s early days, hosting matches in Seasons 1 and 3.

The second leg of the tournament will move to Jaipur’s Indoor Hall at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium starting September 12. Jaipur holds a special place in PKL history, having hosted the tournament’s landmark 1,000th match during the 2023–24 season.

From September 29, the action will shift to Chennai’s SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium for the third leg. The fourth and final leg before the playoffs will take place at New Delhi’s Thyagaraj Stadium beginning October 13.

The playoff schedule and venues are yet to be announced by the organisers.
