India’s All-Party Delegation in New York Underscores Unified Anti-Terror Message

New York [US], May 25, 2025: An Indian all-party parliamentary delegation led by MP Shashi Tharoor reached New York as part of a broader diplomatic campaign to highlight India’s united stance against terrorism. The visit, facilitated by the Consulate General of India in New York, aims to deepen cooperation with key international partners, including the United States, on counterterrorism efforts.

The delegation included Bhubaneswar Kalita, Milind Murli Deora, Shashank Mani Tripathi, Ganti Harish Madhur, and former Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Their itinerary began with a solemn visit to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, where they paid homage to the victims of the 9/11 attacks. The tribute underscored India’s solidarity with all nations affected by terrorism and reaffirmed its commitment to a global fight against such inhuman violence.

Throughout their engagements in New York, the Indian delegation held strategic dialogues with prominent think tanks, academic institutions, and media houses. These discussions focused on bolstering India-US ties, while promoting India’s message of zero tolerance toward terrorism. They emphasized dismantling terror support networks and ensuring accountability for perpetrators through international legal mechanisms.

The delegation’s visit is part of India’s Operation Sindoor-linked outreach following the Pahalgam terror attack and subsequent Indian counterstrikes. It aims to communicate India’s unwavering resolve against terrorism and call for stronger international mechanisms for collective security.
