Haryana Reaffirms Faith in PM Modi’s Leadership, Policy, and Intentions, Says CM Nayab Singh Saini

Yamunanagar (National Times): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday said that every citizen of Haryana has full faith in the policy (niti), intention (niyat), and leadership (netritva) of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling it a symbol of “unprecedented public trust.”

Speaking at the ‘Viksit Bharat-Viksit Haryana’ programme in Yamunanagar, CM Saini described the emotional bond between the people of Haryana and the Prime Minister as strong and deep-rooted. “Every Haryanavi sees PM Modi as one of their own. His call for support during elections was met with a historic and decisive mandate,” Saini stated in an official release.

He reiterated that the state of Haryana is fully aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047 and will work shoulder-to-shoulder to realize that dream.

As per the statement, CM Saini extended a warm welcome to the Prime Minister on behalf of the people of Haryana, especially to Yamunanagar, a city rich in spiritual and industrial significance. Marking the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, he hailed the day as highly auspicious for the state.

During his visit, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for several major projects:

  • An 800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram Power Plant.
  • A GOBARdhan (Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan) plant in the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri municipal area.
  • The inauguration of the Rewari Bypass Project.

The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister for gifting Haryana with these transformative initiatives, saying, “These developmental steps are a reflection of the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership and affection for Haryana.”

Highlighting the GOBARdhan project, CM Saini termed it a groundbreaking move toward sustainability by integrating traditional knowledge with modern technology. The compressed biogas plant, he said, will serve as an eco-friendly milestone for the state.

He further praised the timber and pottery-based industries of Yamunanagar for providing employment to lakhs and stated that with the Prime Minister’s visit, the city is stepping into a new golden era of development.

Over the past decade, under the leadership of the ‘double-engine government’, Haryana has witnessed historic growth. CM Saini now refers to the current governance as a ‘triple-engine sarkar’, with added momentum due to people’s support and PM Modi’s guidance.

The CM added that Haryana has made remarkable strides in infrastructure, connectivity, and energy. “Today, there’s no district in Haryana without a national highway, and nearly every village is linked to the district headquarters,” he said.

On the power front, he cited major achievements:

  • Power DISCOM losses have reduced from 30% to 10.4% under the UDAY Scheme.
  • In 2023-24, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam ranked first and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam ranked second nationwide.
  • Over 5,877 villages receive 24-hour electricity under the ‘Mhara Gaon–Jagmag Gaon’ scheme.

Union Minister of Housing, Urban Affairs & Power Manohar Lal, also speaking on the occasion, expressed gratitude for PM Modi’s continued support to Haryana. He mentioned the launch of the first flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and the foundation stone of a new terminal at Hisar Airport, alongside other major developments.

Highlighting PM Modi’s personal bond with the state, the Union Minister noted this was the Prime Minister’s 25th visit to Haryana since 2014, underlining his commitment and connection to the state.

He also projected ambitious growth in the power sector, noting that India’s power generation has surged from 249 GW in 2014 to 466 GW today, with a goal of reaching 874 GW by 2033-34.

Also present at the event were Union Ministers Rao Inderjit Singh, Krishan Pal, and Haryana cabinet ministers including Anil Vij, Krishan Lal Panwar, Shyam Singh Rana, and several MPs such as Naveen Jindal, Rekha Sharma, Ram Chander Jangra, Kartik Sharma, among others.

The event marked a collective reaffirmation of Haryana’s commitment to national progress under PM Modi’s leadership, while also celebrating the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and ushering in new milestones in the state’s development journey.
