Gurpreet Singh :- A tragic road accident in Amritsar claimed the life of a seven-year-old girl after a collision between a truck and an Activa at Maqboolpura Chowk. The incident, which occurred earlier in the day, has left the local community in shock and mourning.
According to police, information about the accident was received shortly before their arrival, following which a team rushed to the spot. Police officer Amandeep Kaur said the impact of the collision left the child critically injured, leading to her death at the scene. The victim has been identified as Moni, a resident of the Cheema side area.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are collecting evidence to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. Officials stated that appropriate legal action would be taken based on the findings.
Family members, devastated by the loss, alleged that the accident occurred due to the negligence of the truck driver. They claimed that the Activa came under the truck’s wheels after the collision, leaving no chance to save the child, and have demanded strict action against the driver.
The incident has deeply shaken residents of the area, with police assuring that the matter is being probed thoroughly and that the accused will be dealt with as per law.
