Surrey (Rajeev Sharma): Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a serious early morning shooting in Surrey that left two men hospitalized in critical condition.
Police said frontline officers responded around 3:49 a.m. on May 10, 2026, to reports of a shooting outside a Chevron gas station in the 7100 block of 152 Street. Upon arrival, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately provided emergency medical assistance before they were transported to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services.
SPS Major Crime Section has now taken over the investigation and officers are examining the scene for physical and digital evidence. Police expect the intersection of 72 Avenue and 152 Street to remain closed for much of the morning during the investigation.
At this stage, investigators say no suspect information is available and the motive behind the shooting remains unknown. However, police stated the incident is not believed to be connected to extortion-related violence.
