Wakefield, Quebec (Rajeev Sharma): A ski resort in western Quebec remained closed on Thursday after a 13-year-old girl from Ottawa was critically injured in a chairlift incident, authorities said. Emergency services were called to Centre Vorlage near Wakefield at around 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday following reports of an accident as the teenager was disembarking from a ski lift, according to the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais Police Service. Police spokesperson Sgt. Martin Fournel said the girl’s clothing became caught in the chairlift, leading to the serious incident.
