Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): In a fresh move to make healthcare more affordable, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has notified revised retail prices for 39 drug formulations used in the treatment of several common and chronic ailments. The decision covers medicines prescribed for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart-related disorders and other health issues. The revised prices have been fixed under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order (DPCO), which empowers the regulator to ensure that essential medicines remain available at reasonable rates.
