Punjab bans use, purchase of 8 medicines in all Govt hospitals; View list

National Times Bureau :- The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, has ordered an immediate ban on the use and procurement of eight medicines across all government hospitals in the state. The decision comes after several complaints were received regarding adverse reactions among patients who were administered these medicines. According to the directive, the banned medicines were manufactured by three pharmaceutical companies. The Health Directorate has instructed all Civil Surgeons and Medical Superintendents to stop the use and purchase of these drugs with immediate effect and to ensure compliance at all healthcare facilities.
