The accused, identified as Manjit Singh Bedi, was taken into custody following a specific intelligence input received by the police. Officials said a special team was formed to trace him after information about his whereabouts emerged. According to the Jalandhar Police Commissioner, a fraud case was registered at a city police station on August 16, 2026.
